Best Chili Recipe

Is this really the best chili recipe? That depends on what one considers to be the best. For me it's the best because the ingredients are organic and the meat is grass fed. However, it gets better I was able to buy the bison at $3.00 it was on sale at 50% off.  I don't remember how many lbs it was, but it was formed into 4 patties. I also purchased the organic chili beans at 50% off the original price. Okay, so if this does not up this recipe to the best I don't know what does.

💥Watch for Sales

One way to eat organic on a budget is watch for sales. When we go shopping this is what we do and usually buy more than one if we are getting a good price and it something we use on a regular basis. This is just one way we can eat organic on a budget for a better quality of life.

Ingredients

Bison
Chili Beans                                                            Tomato Paste
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Chili Powder
Smoked Paprika
Crushed Red Pepper
Black Pepper
Sea Salt

Cook meat, lightly season, add chili beans and tomato paste. Lightly add more seasoning and taste. Continue seasoning until you have achieved the taste you want.

My tongue does not care for spicy, but I do like a tad of heat in my chili. I added the heat little by little, so I could control it. This is a thick and hearty chili, just the way I like it. The crackers are Milton's that we picked up at Costco, there are three different flavors. I chose the olive oil, sea salt with olives, sooooooo good!!

What makes a recipe the best for you?

Importance of Podcast

With a passion to share how I had changed my lifestyle to live more natural I started a blog called "It's Your Life, live it to the fullest" in 2012. As I learned more about living this lifestyle I wanted to talk with others who shared this lifestyle. Sure I could have had them do a guest post on my blog, but I desired a deeper connection with my audience.

My Why

I started my first podcast in 2015 via Wolf Spirit Radio. After dealing with a health issue my husband and I discovered how toxic our world is. This led us to do research to learn how we could have a better quality of life naturally. If you would like to hear our story please click here.

My desire was to bring hope and natural solutions to others who were dealing with a poor quality of life. Doing a podcast allowed me to find others who had a story to share about dealing with a poor quality of life naturally. I also sought businesses that offered natural solutions through their products or services.

I felt very accomplished doing the weekly, live podcast. The down side was it was a 2 hour show and at the time I was spending hours finding guests who wanted to do the podcast. So, a year later I stopped doing the podcast.

Podcasting for Business

I formulate natural skin care products using cruelty free, organic ingredients. There are two unique ingredients in my products, the first is that I use Kombucha and the second is that all of my oils and liquids are infused with the mineral Shungite. During the podcast I was able to give a shout out about Heavenly Bodies skin care products. Many in the audience knew about Shungite and what it could do for them. Due to this Heavenly Bodies was booming.

At the time we did not think much about it, just yeah we have business. We began to notice after I stopped doing the podcast that business was slowly decreasing. It was this that impacted our idea of starting the podcast again.

Podcasting More Personal then Blogging

I love blogging, but realize that doing a podcast I can get more personal with my target audience. When I blog all they have our my words, an image of me and a bio. Doing the podcast gives them a better idea of who I am and just how passionate I am about natural living.

Have you thought about doing a podcast? What would your podcast be about?

I'm just going to get this out of the way so I don't waste your time. We are seeking guests who blog on natural living. This is a broad subject and not just limited to those who create recipes using organic food, garden using organic practices, no it goes much deeper. Here are just some of the categories we seek. Don't count yourself out because what you blog on is natural living, but not listed.

  • Crystals
  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Chakras
  • Farming
  • Feng Shui
  • Herbs
  • Essential oils (no MLM reps)
  • Natural cleaning

Products for Sale

If you sell more than one product I'm sorry, but you do not qualify for a free podcast. When I say more then one product that means if you wrote a book and want to promote it you may do so. Now if you have a line of products the same or not this is not for you. However, if you would still like to do one we also do productions for a fee. This fee is determined by what is required from the client.

Procedure

If interested send me an email at guests at natural bliss podcast dot com. Please include the words "Guest Blogger" in the subject line, include the name of the blog, a short description and the link to the blog. I will check out the blog and let you know if you qualify.

Once you are approved we will discuss a time for a phone call to discuss an outline to be used during the podcast. At this time you will also be asked to choose a date and time to record that meets your schedule.

You will also be asked to supply a short bio, images, link to blog and any social media to be shared. This should be sent at least the day before the recording date. I will contact you the day of the recording to be sure you are still available to record via text. My husband and I run 3 home based businesses,  so if you are unable to record please let me know. While I do understand that life can rear its ugly head, if we have not heard from you within 48 hours we will assume you are not interested and will not qualify to reschedule or engage in future podcasts.

Recording

All of our podcasts are prerecorded, audio only, recorded using a phone, a headset is recommended, but not required. Because we use a phone I am sorry to say that anyone outside of the United States does not qualify unless they can call us.

We have no time restraints, but understand our guests might which is why I ask ahead of time if there are. There is some time required for a sound check and to make sure we will record a quality podcast before we start recording.

Promoting

Your podcast will be shared on our YouTube channel, Vimeo and Real Video, which is in the process of a name change. We will also share on our Facebook page and Pintrest. You will be sent the link for the YouTube once it is uploaded, so you can use it on your blog and share on your social media.

Why do a Podcast?

Podcasts allow your readers to get to know you better, it's more personal and its nice to put a voice to the face we see. As bloggers we know that the majority of traffic that most of us attract is from other bloggers. This gives us an opportunity to reach a broader audience. Another reason to do a podcast with us is because our target audience is your target audience.

Questions?

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me via email at guests at natural bliss podcast dot com

Have you ever done a podcast before? If so let us know about your experience.

Ode to Fall

This post is a collaboration of bloggers on the topic of Fall. At the end of the post there is a list of the participating bloggers. Please check out the other blog posts comment and share if felt led to. Also consider letting them know where you found their blog.

I love fall, but here in Louisiana I don't not get the full experience of the beautiful colors. I was raised in Chicago and always loved the beautiful colors, but most of all walking through the leaves, hearing them crunch under my feet. I was married in the fall and my mom asked the people across the street to not rake their leaves so we could use the big pine for photos. Sigh, I love the fall.

                                      🍂   Ode to Fall  🍂

🍂 Fall, what can I say about the fall? 🍂
I love the way the air feels as the changes begin
The colors slowly drifting down with the wind
The heat of the summer gone for now
                                                 Outdoor splendor beckons it's fall

🍂The beautiful colors surround my soul  🍂
Their awesome splendor I sit in awe
Soup on the stove delights the senses
A cup of hot tea my soul it quenches
                                                 Outdoor splendor beckons it's fall

🍂 A walk through the forest revels the changes 🍂
Crunching leaves under foot echoes through out
The glow of a bonfire through out the night
No more chasing fireflies in flight
                                                Outdoor splendor beckons it's fall

Fall is the perfect time to go hiking in the woods. Make a big pot of soup with the whole family. Build a bonfire, if able, and enjoy conversations, stories  and music with family and friends. Visit a local farm and see what types of fresh produce can be obtained. If you have kids or grandchildren visit a pumpkin patch many have other activities for children to do. See what types of fall events are available in your area and attend one even if it is alone. Fall is a great time to get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors.

The following recipe and image are from another blog I have, but no longer blog on. These taste very similar to potato pancakes.

Spaghetti Squash & Quinoa Fritter Pancakes

Ingredients

Cooked spaghetti squash
Quinoa
Kale
4 Free range eggs
3 Tbsp gluten free flour
Organic shredded cheese
Seasonings: Sea salt, dill, pepper, chives, all purposes seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder

Combine all ingredients, melt coconut oil or organic/vegan butter in a pan. Form into patties and cook until brown on both sides.

I learned a trick watching the Food Network. Cook a small portion first to make sure it is seasoned they way you want it.

Take this time to enjoy the beautiful colors, smells and events that fall brings our way. Most of all be sure to live a natural life for a better quality of one.

What is your favorite fall activity?

Eating Organic Food

Why should we eat organic food? Is eating organic food more expensive? How do I transition to eating organic food?

Why we Should Eat Organic Foods

Many of the food our society are eating have a variety of issues. The issues with foods we eat then become our issues in the way of our health.

The Expense of Eating Organic Foods

Eating organic foods costs more to buy, but let's weigh the cost. When you eat organic foods your body is getting more nutrients and therefore you eat less. Consider how much you are eating and how you feel after you eat, are you still hungry? Most people would say yes, I know I was, because they are not getting any nutrients from what they are eating.

Our personal experience is that we eat less when eating organic foods. Why? Because our bodies are getting nutrients instead of empty calories. Soooo, if by eating organic foods you eat less it weighs out the same in how much money you are spending on your food.

Health Costs

What is the cost of having a better quality of life? When we eat organic foods and give our bodies the nutrients it needs the quality of life we have is better. How much is that worth to you? Think about it....
  • No more taking time off of work due to health issues
  • No more kids missing school and you missing work due to health issues
  • No more paying someone to stay with a sick child, so you can go to work
  • No more sitting for hours waiting to see your health care professional
All of these are costing you money, money that could be used to give you and your family food that gives your body nutrients.

Transitioning to Eating Organic Foods

When I talk to people about transitioning to organic foods they are overwhelmed. They think they need to do it all right now. Realistically speaking this is virtually impossible unless you are working with a large budget. This takes baby steps. It took us 2 years to have all of our food and seasonings organic.

First we switched the foods we eat on a regular basis and it wasn't everything at once. Again baby steps, we replaced the seasonings we used regularly with organic. From there we purchased other seasonings we used less on or two a month. You can also consider planting your own organic garden using heirloom seeds.

Don't get overwhelmed, just start where you are, but start.
